Hunter: "mom, Crew's doing inappropriate things!"
What's he doing?
Hunter: "Smelling his armpits."

At the State Fair

Crew: "I don't want to go see the bulls, cause I have red on my shirt."

Kennedy: "If you look at the sheep really closely, they look like humans."

Crew: "That sheep just burped!“
“So, the black sheep are the naughty sheep."

Jay talking to Hunter:
"What's the craziest thing you've ever done to make someone else happy? "
Kennedy: "Eat his broccoli"

He's awesome...

Crew: remember that he with the robot leg at the pool. Yeah, that was freaking awesome. I wish I had a robot leg. How can I get a robot leg?

Crew is double-jointed. But Hunter thinks he's Jolly Ranchered...

He's my rock. (and I am very thankful that at 19-years old I even had a clue what I was doing)

Someday I will take a before and after picture of the destruction that can take place at my house within hours. Then when I am an empty nester and especially missing my children I can quickly be reminded of the tornado like effect they have on my home. True story. They're tornadoes.

Hunter's baptism!

This past week, I've been blessed by many others (swim coaches, neighbors, teachers) telling me how much they think of Hunter. Some of them knew he was getting baptized. Others didn't. But I needed to hear all those things, to remind me how unique, awesome, and faithful this boy is. He's hard and pushes me to my mom limits, but he's worth it x a million. I love this boy and I am so proud of him.

You've come a long way, baby.

Some days I think I am really uptight. Then I look at my boys wearing clothes that totally don't match with CHARACTER shirts and realize that there are five towels on the floors from baths, showers, and swimming. None of which, I have attempted to pick up. I'm the most laid back Kira that has ever existed. Wonder what my house and children will look like in five more years... ;)

Hunter: "So, Adam and Eve's last name was Weight?! “

Together?

Yes, sometimes they do play together and they even get along doing it. Be still my mommy heart. (next time, I'll sneak a picture of the actual children :)

To remember the funny things they say

3/23/14- While Jay was doing hunters hair for church I commented on how it looks like Elvis' hair and he could be Elvis for Halloween.
Hunter: who's Elvis?
Kennedy: He's the king of rock n roll: known for his sexy dances.

I didn't even know she knew about Elvis, but apparently she knows quite a lot...

3/24/14
We took Kennedy to the Les Mis play at Hale Center Theater for her birthday. Hunter and Crew fell asleep at Corene's house... waking Hunter up is always a chore. We were trying to get him up the stairs and out the door of her house he started mumbling something about Yoshi and saying he was going to die. Thankfully he was just talking in his sleep.

Crew: Mom, I think I have allergies, because my poop is SOOO stinky.

Kids- they're hilarious

Often times I think I will always remember the funny things my kids do and say everyday or the way they look, but time has proven me wrong, and I know that isn't the case.  I love that I can be home and spend days with Crew by my side.  Listening to his wild imagination; and the funny way he plays.  He has such a fun imagination.  Today he told me that we should make the basement into a karate room so he and Hunter can train from our house.
Also, yesterday Kennedy had a friend over- her friend is cousins with a little girl in Hunter's class.  Hunter had mentioned that the girl in his class is mean to him sometimes.  Crew came up to me and asked me what Kennedy's friends name was again, I reminded him of her name.  Minutes later, Crew confronted Kennedy's friend and using her name and her cousins name explained that her cousin was mean to Hunter at school and that she needed to tell her cousin to stop.  It was hilarious.  I didn't know how to react, so I just told the girl that Hunter had mentioned that a few times.  Glad to see Crew is standing up for his older brother.  He loves him so much.

Listening to Crew play

"Dude."
"What dude?"
"I need you to kill Yoda.
You are not my father anymore.
Dude.
What, son?
You are the strongest warrior EVER!
Dad, what son?
I will not kill Yoda.
Captain America is my new son.
Hold on, son!
I'm scared dad.
It's alright son.
Dad, I am going to try to kill him
Don't get hurt okay?
Okay, dad!

FT

Today I started back at work full time. Its hard. I definitely have mixed feelings about the whole thing. I know it's a blessing and it's so great that I am able to be home and be with the kids but its so hard to fill the burden of our situation affecting us strongly and I feel like especially me personally. I already find it hard to have time to make dinner everyday, exercise, and do the things I am supposed to do and now it will be even more difficult. But I also know I need to look at all as a blessing. We really have been provided a way to get through this time of trial and our lives and I know it is the right thing for family at this time. We won't know the sweet without the bitter I guess :-)

Alex

Every time he plays anything imaginary he's Alex. He loves the name Alex... Weird.

Some day I'll miss this.

Kennedy doesn't love to play with her friends. She enjoys it, but it never seems to be her first choice of activity. What would she rather do? Snuggle me on the couch or watch a movie with me or go on a walk with me. Really, anything... With me. I know I should probably be flattered  but it seems so strange to me. So today when I suggested she call a friend and she responded by asking if we could go on a date, I immediately thought: this won't last long. Someday she won't ask for my company and I'll be longing for the time I get with her. So we took an outing to the pet store and cupcake shop.
I love this girl to the moon and back and I'm so happy she chooses to love me back! Love ya, baby K!
